Join Laynee Day as she debuts the newest class at Take The Lead: Blues! Blues is a one of a kind social dance that is both creative and playful. Benefits of Learning to Dance

Posted by Obi Simpson on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, In : Benefits of Dancing

Benefits of Learning to Dance:

As a life skill, the ability to dance is totally unlike anything else.  It is much more than simple movement to music.  There is not a single activity or hobby that comes even close to matching the overwhelmingly positive influence that dance has on an individual.  There are many who can understand a few of the simple aspects such as exercise or spending time with a significant other, but only a relative few who recognize this ability for what it adds to a perso...

As it so happens, the terms "impressive" and "awkward sway" rarely fit nicely in a sentence. Instead, let us help yo...

One of my greatest joys of being a dance instructor comes from getting to share these skills with everyone, especially those who need it most.  I love my Arc kiddos, and it brings a huge smile to my face every time I think about the massive improvements to their social abilities dancing has brought.
